Week 1 - Introduction
Hello all!
I live in Knoxville Tennessee and am a transplant from New York State. I am in my 17th year of teaching Mathematics. I teach at Fulton High School (Go Falcons!). I have been married to my husband Darrin for three years and it all started on a blind date. We have a small farm with a donkey and some beef cows (yummy). I have a 28 year old son and this picture is of my granddaughter, Hailey. She can be super sweet but also has a will or iron. We totally love the role of grandparents and she has my husband wrapped around her little finger.
I was looking at our topics for this course and I have to say am scared to death. This is definitely not my comfort zone, but am looking forward to learning tons. I can't think of any topic that I'd like to see covered because I really don't know what else is out there. I would like to create a webpage for our church. Besides that I just want to become more comfortable with all this technology. I do have a Facebook account and can instant message on google and love my Iphone - although much of what my phone can do is wasted on me.
I did see a blog for teaching mathematics that may be good. It is http://mathematicslearning.blogspot.com/
Here's to a great semester!!!!
